Spicy Tomato Chutney

Spicy Tomato Chutney

Spicy Tomato Chutney, a very easy to make quick recipe. I recently made this new recipe for the first time and was really happy with the results. So thought to share it with you. It’s a very simple recipe, you can add coconut to the same recipe to that perfect south Indian chutney. I am not a fan when it comes to the ingredient coconut, so I prefer ignoring it.

  1. In a wok, heat oil on high medium. Add the onion, tomatoes, garlic, and red chilies and saute on high for 3-4 min. Remove from heat. Let it cool for about 5 minutes.
  2. Next, transfer it to the mixer grinder and add salt. Grind it to make a smooth paste.
  3. Now again, transfer it to the same wok and then add degi mirch/red chili powder. Bring it to boil, stirring continuously. Once the chutney is thick remove from heat.
  4. Prepare the tempering: In a small pan heat oil. Add mustard seeds and curry leaves let it sizzle for 1 minute and then spread over the prepared chutney and mix well.
